So freaking delicious!!! This was my first time trying Ostia, I went for a friends birthday lunch on a Sunday around noon. She reserved large setting with 12 people. The first thing when we got there was parking issues, there is a very small lot however the street directly behind the restraint is residential and didn't have any parking restrictions so we parked and walked. The ambience is gorgeous! Very cute! We were seated and started with drinks, I knew this was an Italian place but was searching the menu for some mock tails. They did have coffee I just didn't feel coffee that morning. No mocktails to be found however I'm sure they could have edited some of the cocktails. We were told since we were a large group they will have to do family style and boy we did not know what we got ourselves into! The first courses were appetizers- Cauliflower salad- didn't know cauliflower could taste so good! Donuts- these donuts were delicious! Sweet- also tangy with orange zest and the icing tasted like melted ice cream. The donuts were so warm and comforting. Toast- delicious, not even sure what was on it, some sort of white cream topping with maybe sautéed kale or spinach and a zesty jam, no clue but so good! I do wish the breads were a little less charred as they were really crunchy and hurt the roof of our mouths but still so good. Chips- salty crunchy but the right amount of salt not overpowering. We were already getting full at this point. Then the entrees came out- Pizza- pizza was creamy and garlicky, I will say one big slice was enough for me since it was really rich! I don't think I could have ate the whole pizza alone. Brussel sprouts- charred and vinegary, one thing I would say is we thought it was still a bit undercooked, hard to bite into and chewy but was glad it was not too soft so still good! French toast- oh my gosh! Melt in your mouth French toast, there was blueberries, whipped cream, and the French toast bread was so warm and comforting. So delicious! It was not overly sweet- the blueberry tang complicated the sweetness of the whipped cream. Gnocchi- the mushroom gnocchi was something I was looking at on the menu, when I didn't know e were doing family style, it looked good but I'm so glad we had a family style meal since I didn't enjoy it too much. It was flavored well just not to my liking. French fries- wedges that we thought were a little too salty. We tried a few and had to flake some of the salt off because the salt was overpowering. As if we weren't full enough, they then brought out dessert! Three different desserts- Chocolate pudding- so creamy yum Baked Alaska? Maybe it was meringue cooked topped with whipped cream and candied oranges and it was really good! Never tried it before but tasted like crunchy marshmallows. Lemon curd cheesecake- I'm not a fan of cheesecake in general so wasn't not my favorite but others enjoyed it! Overall everything was so delicious, I loved this place! I think family style is worth it since you get to try different things on the menu. We didn't ask the birthday girl to pay but for three coffee and 12 people we split the bill and it was around $65 each. Thought it was expensive but still so worth it!! Highly recommend this place, my new favorite Italian place! Note ~ they do accommodate, the first thing they asked all of us was if we had dietary restrictions and as a vegetarian I was excited since everything was vegetarian.

Delicious Italian inspired food in Montrose. We were a large group so shared a chef's selection family meal. Cost was expensive at $42 per person. Portion sizes were large and the shared meal option allowed us to try multiple items on the menu. Everything was delicious and I was happy to see multiple vegetarian items available that were not your basic pasta dish. Everything below is vegetarian: Appetizers Bruschetta- 5/5 goat cheese on toasted bread with a flavored green topping Brussel sprouts- 3/5 the garlic dressing was good but Brussel sprouts themselves felt like could be cooked more Donuts - 5/5 - another tasty dessert. The sauce was great Cauliflower salad - 5/5 - cauliflower based salad with raisins, cabbage and other greens Potato chips - 5/5 Potato fries - 2/5. Thought they were too salty Entrees Pizza - 5/5 - oven baked pizza with cheese and greens Mushroom gnocchi- 5/5 delicious gnocchi with mushroom in a creamy based sauce. Berry French toast- 5/5 bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and not overly sweet Desserts - Pavlava - I've never had one before and wasn't too much of a fan. Tasted like cotton candy to me. Lemon cheesecake - good flavor Chocolate mouse - this was tasty but not that unique Service was great. Parking was difficult to find as expected for the area. The lot itself can only fit about 10 cars and half are reserved for valet. Overall would definitely return!

5 stars for ambiance and service! Loved the interior and exterior seating options and found ostia to be a great dining experience. The crowd was older and it was pretty quiet inside for peak dinner service, perfect for a calm relaxing meal. I ordered the oricchiette and found the rapini flavor to be quite strong - good if you like vegetables but not what I was expecting. We also had the kumquat bruschetta which was quite good and brightened up the palate. Otherwise service was excellent.

Sunday brunch here was great; we started off with the pizza dough donuts, and for mains - we had the bucatini and the French toast. My personal favourite was the bucatini, so delicious. Service was excellent, we received helpful recommendations, and our server was friendly and attentive. Nice ambiance on a Sunday morning. It also has a super pretty, covered, outdoor seating area. Parking can be tricky when it gets busy.

Came here for restaurant week with my parents and husband on Wednesday night. The dining room was considerably less crowded during the week than on a Saturday which was nice because it wasn't as loud and we were able to have a nice visit. I feel like some restaurants serve smaller portions when you order off the HRW menu, but not here. Only two of the four of us did restaurant week and my husband and dad ordered the same dish so I can confidently say they are giving the regular dish. It felt like a great value. Food and service were both good. Favorite dish was the pork chop with grilled peaches.

Our lunch crew descended upon Ostia this week and found a largely empty dining room. No problem, more attention for us. They're picky about their menu, not willing to add tomatoes, it's a comes as is kinda place. I guess when you're good, you can do that. We had three very different entrees, a pasta dish for me, a salad dressed with trout and a chicken salad croissant dressed generously with butter. The salad (sadly without tomatoes) was the star, disappearing completely in record time. The gnocchi were well done, waited with mushrooms and onion and very rich. The chicken salad featured a buttery croissant and was creamy.

We tried their lunch menu, enjoyed the food, and had good service. The gnocchi is not my preference, but the chicken is delicious - moist and perfectly roasted. We made reservations for a table in their greenhouse area, and it's beautiful. The weather was perfect that day, making it even more enjoyable. We will come back to try out dinner options.

This would be a great place for last minute dinner plans when you want a good meal, but do not have a lot of notice. We went on a Friday night and had no trouble getting a same-day reservation and it was not too busy so you might even be able to walk-in. There is limited parking in the area so I would recommend valet. The music was light but a great selection of covers of popular songs that livened the vibe of the restaurant. They also had an awesome covered outdoor seating area that would be great on days with good weather, but they also have heaters and fans so even if it is not perfect weather, you can still be comfortable. The service was pretty good. There were a couple of times when we were ready to order something and we had to wait a while to get our waiter's attention, but they coursed out the meals nicely and they made sure to bring new cutlery and plates for every course which was a nice touch. As far as the food, the ricotta was absolutely delicious. The seasonal selection we had was with apricots and there was a nice combination of sweet and salty that made us grab a second order. The chicken and roasted potatoes are their staple and both were very good. We ordered the risotto which we were not a fan of. The gnocchi was a much better option from the pastas and was a bit crispy, but pillowy soft. The sauce for the gnocchi was phenomenal and I wish they had more. I will definitely be back soon as there were quite a few other things on the seasonal menu that I wanted to try before they change the menu.
